Joyce Hunter Gibson's Obituary
92 year old Joyce Hunter Gibson passed away on February 4, 2022 in Mesquite, Texas.
Joyce was born in Dallas to Ivy Adams on March 1st, 1929. She married Daniel P. Hunter in 1945 and together the two had three beautiful children ( Judy, Beverly, and Daniel). Joyce and Daniel were happily married for 43 years until his passing in 1988. Joyce went on to meet fellow widower Horace Gibson, and the two were married until his passing in 2016 . Joyce worked as a hair dresser and had a great passion for traveling, cooking, and birdwatching in her spare time. Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, sister, Christian, and she was loved by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Joyce had a magnanimous spirit that was second to none and she loved her family greatly. She will be dearly missed.
Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Daniel P. Hunter, her second husband Horace Gibson, her sister Lee Ramsey, and her daughter Judy Marie Eskew.
Joyce is survived by her daughter Beverly Sharp and son Daniel Hunter, sister Juanita Seltzer, grandchildren: Lorie Seals, Jason Eskew, Casey Sharp, Lane Hunter, and great grandchildren: Kendal and Avery Seals, and Hudson Eskew.
The immediate family will be holding a private celebration of life for Joyce and wish to extend their sincere thanks to the Cambridge Court assisted living facility for the care they provided Joyce in her final days.
