Joyce Ollie Jones' Obituary
Joyce Jones, age 88, passed away on Tuesday November 5, 2019 peacefully alongside her family and friends. Joyce was born on October 26, 1931 in Rosser, Texas to Nathan and Ollie Culver.Joyce was a longtime resident of Allen, Texas. She married Cecil Jones Jr. on December 23, 1954 who she had two children with. She worked for an insurance company as well as Richardson Independent School District, but her true passion was babysitting children which she did for a number of years. Joyce was an avid reader who loved making trips to all of the local, and not so local libraries, working on puzzles, and spending time with family. When she was sitting down to relax after a long day she could always be found watching the Dallas Cowboys, “The Survivors,” and Monday Night “Wrestling.”Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, and loving husband of 30 years, Cecil Jones Jr.She is survived by her son Steve Jones of Allen, Texas and daughter Brenda Alford also of Allen, Texas, her two grandsons Nick Lee and Hunter Alford, and her brother Thomas “Buddy” Culver of Kaufman, Texas; along with a host of loving friends and family.Funeral arrangements for Joyce Ollie Jones have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
