Joyce Lovett-Adkins' Obituary
From the moment Joyce Lovett-Adkins arrived in Vivian, Louisiana, family felt her calming presence. Poised and professional in every aspect of her life, she carried herself with steady grace that quietly encouraged everyone near her.
Joyce was the treasured daughter of Mildred Connell and Jarrell Connell, both of whom passed before her. She often spoke of their guidance and held their memories close.
After High School, she went to work for Magnolia Oil, which later became Mobile Oil, and was transferred to Midland, Texas. She was a Presbyterian elder, in Toast Masters, and on the board of the Museum of the Southwest.
But her love was being a National Registered Professional Parliamentarian. She traveled all over the country being the Parliamentarian for various groups at their national meetings.
Her heart found its greatest joy in her daughter, Lori Lovett-Carson, granddaughter, Caroline Carson Russell, and her great-grandchildren, Trey Carson Russell, Rose Adeline Russell, Corben William Russell, and Rachel Renee Russell. Their achievements and everyday stories lit up her days, and she celebrated every milestone with quiet pride.
Joyce spent her final years in Allen, Texas, where she remained the composed, thoughtful woman we all admired. Even in goodbye, she showed the same steady professionalism that defined her long life.
We will remember Joyce for the calm confidence she shared and the love she poured into her family. Lori and Caroline invite all who cared for Joyce to hold her memory close and carry her gentle spirit forward.
