Joyce Lee Parker's Obituary
PARKER, JOYCE LEE CLARK Surrounded by her family, Joyce Parker died peacefully and was called to heaven on January 16th, 2014. She was born in Dallas to Lee and Genevieve Clark on February 11, 1932. She is survived by her children Gail Parker, Lisa and David Ford, Greg and Suzy Parker; brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Judy Clark, and grandchildren, Bryan Ford, Lauren Ford, Sarah Parker and Rachel Parker. Joyce grew up in Dallas and graduated from Forest Avenue High School in 1949. She worked as a realtor for many years and then as an accounting and admin clerk at Southwest Medical Center where she retired in 1997. Later she worked for the family business where she blessed many with her infectious love, contagious smile, and friendly advice. She was a caring and devoted daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. Throughout the years she consistently sacrificed herself for her children and others near her. As a faithful Christian, she shared her charm with family and friends and was the type of person who looked out for everyone’s happiness. Those who knew her would say that she could fill any room with her enthusiasm, love and charming personality. She loved to travel, shop, cook, and Christmas time. She will be remembered for all the great things she did and the wonderful person that she was. Visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Restland Wildwood Chapel, Monday, January 20, 2014 at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Collier Center for Communication Disorders.
