Joyce Park Riggs' Obituary
Joyce Park Riggs passed away on July 12, 2020 at her home in Dallas Texas. She was born in Dallas on Sep. 17, 1928 to William M. and Marie Merrifield Park. Joyce was a graduate of Sunset High School and North Texas Agricultural College (now UTA). She spent her career primarily as a mom and homemaker, and as a part-time bookkeeper for Riggs and Associates. She was a long-time member of Prestoncrest Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Riggs. She is survived by sons Mark (Debbie) Riggs of Abilene and Bruce Riggs of Richardson, her grandchildren Katie (Matt) Maxwell, Will (Courtney) Riggs, Benjamin Riggs and Elizabeth Riggs, three great-grandchildren, and two nephews Tom Pulley and Richard Pulley. Burial will be a private family ceremony at DFW National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Renovation fund at Prestoncrest Church of Christ (Chad missions fund) or to the ACU Mathematics Department Scholarship Fund.
