Joyce Sparks' Obituary
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and fiercely independent soul
February 21, 1930 – May 25, 2025
Joyce Sparks passed away peacefully on May 25, 2025, surrounded by family. She was 95. She now joins her beloved husband, Bill, who passed many years ago.
Joyce was a woman of strength, resilience, and deep loyalty. She lived her life on her own terms, navigating the world with quiet determination and a sharp mind. She was compact in stature but carried a formidable presence—equal parts fire and tenderness.
She loved her family deeply and showed it in the ways she knew how: in handwritten notes, in fiercely held traditions, and in her unwavering attention to what mattered to her.
Joyce adored her family. She had a way of remembering the small things—birthdays, favorite treats for loved ones, quiet stories long forgotten by others.
Her legacy is carried forward in those who knew her best and loved her through the hard and the beautiful. She was deeply loved—and that love remains.
In her final days, Joyce was surrounded by warmth, music, and care. May she now rest in peace, reunited with Bill and with those she lost along the way.
A private remembrance will be held by family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Red Cross.
