Joyce Evelyn Stamer's Obituary
Joyce Evelyn Honea Stamer was born on February 7, 1935 in Dallas, Texas, and passed away peacefully on February 3, 2017 at her home in Richardson, Texas. She was 81. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Carl Honea and Ethel Sarah Gargus Honea. She is survived by her brother Glenn Honea, her daughter Deborah Stamer, her son Douglas Stamer, her daughter-in-law Cindy Stamer, and her two grandchildren Max and Luke Stamer. Joyce loved playing the piano and will always be remembered for her passion and soul for her music. Her optimism and happy outlook was a joy to be around, she lived every day grateful for her friends and family, and was proudest of her two grandsons. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Restland Wildwood Chapel. You may send flowers for the service, or in lieu of flowers, you are invited to send contributions in remembrance of Joyce to any organizations that support Veterans, as she always did. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
