Juan Manuel Bazan of Garland, TX died August 23, 2017, after a 6 year battle with prostate cancer. He was born to Inez and Lucio Bazan in Beeville, TX on July 27, 1949. He graduated from Victoria High and went on to get his Bachel Read Obituary
I was privileged to work with Juan for many, many years. His sense of humor, focus on what was necessary, and ability to unite differences was enjoyable to experience. I have enjoyed remembering those years and times for the past few days. I pray GOD’s finest blessings on his friends, family, and former co-workers.

Juan, you will be greatly missed. I will always remember your ready smile for family and friends. The love shared between you and Kathy was so beautiful and I know your children and grandchildren will always aspire to have that kind of love in their lives. Heaven has gained another Angel. We were so saddened to learn of Juan’s passing. We had the great pleasure of meeting Juan and Kathy this past New Year’s Eve at his brother Louis (and sister-in-law Cindy’s) home in Boerne, TX. It was immediately apparent to us what a wonderful person he was, and how important he was to his immediate and extended family. Our deepest condolences to you, Kathy, Louis and Cindy and Jr., and to the rest of your family. May God grant Juan have eternal rest and peace.

I am so sorry to hear of Juan’s passing. I had the pleasure of knowing Juan while working at TI/Raytheon. He was a great inspiration to me and helped me transition into Quality Engineering where he was my manager. My life has been enriched greatly from knowing and working with Juan. Condolences to the family of Juan Bazan. He was a very useful member of the GISD Multi Ethnic Committee and encouraged the committee to work harder to recruit qualified applicants to the GISD. He will be truly missed. God rest his soul and Bless his family and loved ones!!
It was an honor and privilege to have known and worked with Juan on many endeavors regarding the improvement of future generations of Hispanic students. He served as an ideal role model and convinced many aspiring students “que si se puede” ( yes, we can). A true gentleman, but he always spoke his mind when he needed to and that is part of his legacy. The world is better for him and we will all miss his warm smile, intelligence and leadership. Rest peacefully Juan, for you truly made a difference in your lifetime.
Juan was the quiet man that was always looking to give of himself to help others better themselves. Given his success in his professional career, he never sought to bring attention to himself. His family was his number one focus in life. He will be missed, but his family will continue to represent him well as they go through the tough days ahead.
