Juanita C. Arredondo's Obituary
Juanita Arredondo, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. Born on May 16, 1931, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Luis and Epifania Castaneda, Juanita lived a life full of love, faith, and dedication. On October 19, 1947, Juanita married the love of her life, Raymond Arredondo, at St. Mary of Carmel Catholic Church. They shared 65 wonderful years together before Raymond's passing. Their union was blessed with a daughter, Anita. She is survived by Anita & Jesse Davila, her grandchildren, Raymond & Flora Davila, Elizabeth & Roland Castaneda, great grandchildren, Jason Davila , Alycia & Nikki Floyd, Christopher West, Patrica West, Isabella Talbot, Kathy Gamero, Gerson Gamero, Evelyn Castaneda and recently, she became a great great-grandmother to, Dylan and Dallas Floyd. She is survived by: her brothers Luis Castaneda, Lupe Maciel, Dorso Maciel, Joe Blanco and Celedonio Meza. She is predeceased by her brother, Daniel Castaneda & sister Jesusita Benavidez. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Juanita's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was known for her selflessness, always putting others before herself. Her home was a haven for many, as she loved cooking for her children. Juanita's prayers were a source of comfort for everyone who knew her. Juanita had an impeccable sense of fashion and always presented herself with grace and style. She was an amazing homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming environment for her family. Her love for God, her husband, and her children was evident in everything she did. Juanita's legacy of love & faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered. Also Dr. Kevin Longshaw is deeply appreciated for his excellent care of Mr.& Mrs. Arredondo. All services will be held at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243, Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 11:00am to 12:30pm. The Graveside Service will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Kidney Foundation, in Juanita's memory.
