Juanita Frances Collins' Obituary
COLLINS, Juanita Frances Johnson of Allen, formerly Garland, Texas went home to be with the Lord on September 27, 2020 following a brief illness. She was born September 28, 1927 to Orville “Buck” Johnson and Myrtle Frances Foster in Houston, TX. She married the love of her life, John Daniel Collins, on September 30, 1950. She passed just shy of what would have been their 70th wedding anniversary.
She was an active member in her church and was a truly kind and good soul, who could always see the good in everyone.
Juanita is survived by her immediate family; husband Dan, son Charles (Leslie) to whom she devoted her life to raising, and the grandchildren she doted upon, Sean (Faye) and Kasey, as well as her great-grandson, Tristan. Her surviving extended family includes several nieces and nephews. There will be a graveside family-only funeral service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made in her name to The First Baptist Church of Garland, or to Faith Presbyterian Hospice with gratitude for their care and attention to the needs of her entire family during the last days of Juanita’s life.
