Juanita Madeline Tallent's Obituary
Juanita M. Tallent, age 100, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 25, 2023. She passed peacefully to her heavenly home.
Her children arise up, and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praiseth her. Proverbs 31:28
Juanita was born on September 15, 1922, in El Dorado, Arkansas to Sherman and Elizabeth Andrews. After the family settled in Texas, she met and married her husband, Loyd Tallent. They had three children, Sherrin Tallent Whiteside, Randall Tallent, and Cynthia Tallent. Lt. Col. Loyd Tallent shared a 20-year military career with his family and in 1960 retired from the military and moved to Garland, Texas where both Loyd and Juanita had successful and blessed careers in business. He was the Director of Personnel for the City of Garland, Texas where he again retired. Juanita was an Interior Decorator and the owner of a Custom Design Company. They were members of The First Baptist Church of Garland, Texas where they served and worshipped for 50 years. Juanita was a dedicated and faithful woman who loved the Lord, her Family, her Church, and her Community. A synonym for Juanita was commitment. Her loving spirit and sacrifice for others gave much joy to all those who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her entire family and many friends.
Juanita is preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Tallent, her parents, Sherman and Elizabeth Andrews, and her only son, Randall L. Tallent. She was also preceded in death by Dee Cable Gibbs (wife of James Gibbs).
She is survived by two daughters: Sherrin Tallent Whiteside and Cynthia Tallent. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Jane Davis Tallent. She is also survived by her beloved and covenant friend Bettie Gouge.
Survived by Grandchildren, William Paonessa II, September Tallent Wheeler and spouse Mark Wheeler, Tonya Ward Bartley and spouse Jeff Bartley, and Clayton Keith Whiteside.
Survived by Great-grandchildren, Nicholas Jordan Paonessa, Patrick Cable, Ella Rose Fogg, Shea Giese Carter and spouse Tyler Carter, Ellis Giese, Morgan Bartley, Paige Bartley, Henry Whiteside, Ryan Whiteside, Stella Bartley and Jake Bartley.
Survived by Great-great grandchildren, Cal Clinton Carter, Kambrie Elizabeth Carter, and Korie Jane Carter.
