Juanita Ethel Young's Obituary
Juanita Ethel Greene Young, 88, of Red Oak, Texas, entered into eternity on Saturday, March 30, 2019 in Red Oak. She was born on March 23, 1931 in Palestine, Texas to Hewitt George and Ethel Salmon Greene.Juanita was the eldest of fifteen children – eleven of whom survive her.She was a cashier with Tom Thumb. Following her marriage to Hubert R. Young, Juanita became a homemaker.Juanita love being outdoors and working in her yard. She also loved dogs and especially Pugs.Juanita had a deep love of people. She never met a stranger. “Giving” and “selfless” are two words used to describe Juanita by those who knew and love her. She especially loved her granddaughter and great- granddaughter.While Juanita held a deep love of people in her life, this depth of love could only be eclipsed by her love of the Lord Jesus Christ. Juanita was passionate about telling the Good News and was used by the Lord to birth many souls into His Kingdom. Juanita was also very active in her church.In more recent years, Juanita moved to Red Oak to be closer to her son and family.She is preceded in death by: her husband, Hubert; her stepson; her parents; and four siblings.Juanita’s legacy and love are cherished and remembered by: her son, Jerry Hudson and his wife Patricia Sherman Hudson of Red Oak; her granddaughter, Katherine Denise Manker and her husband Ted of Palestine, Texas; and her great-granddaughter, Rachel Manker, also of Palestine, Texas.Family will receive friends from 6-8PM at Restland Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. Funeral services will commence at 12:30 PM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park on Thursday, April 4, 2019 with interment following.
