Judith Ann Arnold's Obituary
Judy Arnold, 76, passed away on April 21, 2017, after a lengthy illness. A Celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, April 27, at Restland Wildwood Chapel in Dallas. Judy was born March 5, 1941, on an Indian Reservation in Oklahoma and was always proud to be a quarter-Indian. She was the only child of Hamilton and Anne Arnold, who have both preceded her in death. Being a Pisces, Judy was a compassionate and gentle spirit. Happiness for Judy was simple—planting things and watching them grow, or riding her bike around the White Rock area. She was passionate about nature, animals and the water. Whether at the ocean or Cedar Creek Lake, Judy loved tipping her toes at the edge and inviting others to join her. Judy was a humorous storyteller and jokester. A friendly person, she most enjoyed good laughs with her friends or quiet times with her partner and “pound hounds” at home. Judy also enjoyed her travels with friends to places like Mexico and New Orleans and was dreaming of a trip to Scotland. A graduate of Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, she started her career in real estate as a principal with Step Savers Apartment Locators and worked closely with the Ebby Halliday company. Judy was a broker affiliate with Ebby Halliday for 8 years. She continued her career as a City of Dallas Housing Inspector and a member of the Green Team, working with new, multi-family construction and coordinating certificates of occupancy. Judy will be deeply missed by her lifetime partner of 43 years, Sally Sharpe, her beloved dogs Gypsy and Noggin, and her many friends. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to an animal shelter of your choice in memory of Judy. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at 3:00 PM at The Wildwood Restland Memorial Park.
