Judith Minnette (Perlick) House
Born a third generation German immigrant in Chicago, IL to William O Perlick and Laura Emma Scheck on June 15, 1938; Judy passed away in peace on August 14, 2020. She attended Sunset High School in Dallas. Judy was married to the love of her life, Fred Warren House for 64 years and raised 3 adoring children. She is survived by two of her children, Robert House and Eva Rabe. Lovingly answering to “Mamaw,” she is survived by 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, with another one on the way. She is also survived by her two brothers, Mike Perlick and Donald Perlick, and a host of other family members and friends. Judy was preceded in death by her brother Bill Perlick, her husband Fred House, and her youngest son Jack House.
Throughout her life, Judy was often found caring for others, she never met a stranger. As a military wife stationed in California, everyone was welcome at her table for a hot meal and good conversation. For the remainder of her days, she loved cooking and hosting where she created wonderful memories for all who participated. Her home was always open and welcome to all. She was an accomplished self-taught seamstress and a creative crochet aficionado, who dedicated her skills to making and donating blankets to children in need. Judy was very athletic early in her life she played fast pitch softball for TI and she was an avid bowling enthusiast for over 30 years, easily recognized for her remarkably low stance. In addition to actively raising three children, she had a thirty-five year career at Texas Instruments (TI), where she held a number of roles in administration. Judy’s loving spirit and dedication to her family and friends resonated so deeply with those around her, that she will remain forever missed.
