Judith "Judy" Ann Bass' Obituary
Judith Ann Bass was born on January 29, 1950, in Corpus Christi, Texas to John & Ida Ragan. She passed away on August 3, 2023, in Dallas, Texas. Judith graduated from Smiley High School in Houston, Texas on May 27, 1970. Shortly after graduating, she went to work at Cannonball Rentals, where she met and married David Bass, her husband of 52 years. They never left each other's side and remained just as much in love today as they did when they first met. They had one son, David Jr. She also helped raise her nieces (Mary Jane & Jennifer Thompson, Robin Lopez), whom she considered as daughters and they blessed her with four children, (Thomas Thompson, Joshua Thompson, Mathew & Emily Lopez), who she lovingly referred to as her grandkids.
Judith, otherwise known as "Aunt" to everyone, was a wonderful wife, sister, mother, and auntie. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends playing games and watching movies. She also loved her pets and shopping (especially for purses). She was generous, kind, and will be sincerely missed by her loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother, John & Ida Ragan; her mother and father-in-law, Marjorie & LB Bass; sister-in-law, Christine Thompson; niece, Mary Jane Thompson; brother-in-law, Robert Alexander and nephews, Joey Alexander and Joshua Thompson.
She is survived by her husband, David Bass Sr.; son, David Bass Jr; brother, David Ragan; sisters, Norma Alexander, Debbie Corkill and Brenda Bullock; sisters-in-law, Joan Ragan & Pat Bass; brothers-in-law, John Corkill, Schyler Bullock and Bill Bass; nieces, Jennifer Thompson, Robin Lopez, Emily Lopez, Tonya Carrell, Stacey Ragan, Kimberly Williams, Aubrey True, Kelly Bullock, Becky Kimsey and Renee Bass; nephews, Thomas Thompson, Mathew Lopez, David Ragan Jr., Rocky & Nicholas Corkill, Jeffrey, Michael & Joey Bass. Also, spouses of nieces and nephews above, Jesse Lopez, Brenda Ragan, Liza & Jacinda Corkill, John Carrell, David True, Chris Wilson, Kelly Bass and Tim Kimsey as well as a host of great nieces and nephews that she adored.
