Judith Eugenia Logan's Obituary
Judy left us on March 8, 2024, at the age of 84 after ongoing health issues, joining her husband, Dr. Donald J. Logan and parents, Col. Robert W. Grote and Eugenia (Mimi and Pop-pop) and many dear friends.
As an Army brat, Judy lived all over the world, most notably Kobe, Japan immediately after WWII and Poitiers, France where she met and married Don, the doctor on the post her father commanded. After a stint in Chicago, Judy and Don settled in Dallas, raising their children here and embarking on her lifelong passion for art. Blackwork and later Zentangle filled her days and provided teaching opportunities to share these passions. In recent years Judy has been living at Presbyterian Village North where she continued to make new friends.
Judy is survived by her brother Dr. James R. Grote; her son, Paul and his wife Cari and their sons, Luke and Shane; her daughter Julie Kidder and Julie’s son, Robert, his wife Rachel, and Judy’s two great grandchildren, James and Joanna, Julie’s daughter, Emily Leach and her husband, Jonathan, and Julie’s son Marshall and his fiancée Emma; and Judy’s son, Chris, his wife Christy and their son, Jack.
A service to celebrate Judy’s life will be held at NorthPark Presbyterian Church (Central and Walnut Hill) at 3 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2024, following a family-only burial service at the DFW National Cemetery.
