Judith Ann Sanders' Obituary
SANDERS, JUDITH ANN was born October 22, 1956 in Norfolk, VA and passed away July 22, 2013 in Grapevine, TX after a courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Rose M. Wilson. Judi is survived by Robert her husband of 16 years; uncle, Paul Martina and two faithful companion dogs, Nikko and Lil Tex. Judi graduated with a Bachelors degree in Nursing from Old Dominion University. She served as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years in Labor and Delivery bringing hundreds of children safely into the world. Judi worked the last 15 years at St. Paul/University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center hospital. She was a proud and accomplished singer. Judi was a very active member of Sweet Adelines International and for the past ten years a member of Texas Harmony. Singing was the joy of her life. She was a true friend and beloved by all who knew her for her wisdom, energy and charity. She had a true passion for living life to the fullest. Visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX, on Sunday, July 28th from 2-4 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, July 29th at 7 pm in Restland Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers Judi has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org or (800) 227-2345.
