Judy Nell (Agnew) Baker's Obituary
Judy Nell Baker, 76, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in Richardson, Texas. She was born on June 25, 1946 in Dallas, Texas to Jack Gill Agnew and Ruby Annelle Crowell Agnew.
Judy graduated from the University of North Texas. She was a teacher at South Garland High School. Later, she was executive secretary for World Ministry Fellowship.
Judy was in near perfect health until she got colon cancer in 2004. Thereafter she had a very rough medical history. But through it all she remained very positive. One friend called her “Jolly Judy”. That described her perfectly. If she got down and started crying, it lasted maybe five minutes and then she was back to normal.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, and by her older brother, Don Agnew of Tyler, Texas, by her niece, Lynn Kirkman. She is survived by her loving family including her husband, Charles Baker, and brother Gary Agnew and nieces and nephews, Lisa Agnew (Steve Morgan), Larry Agnew (Shelly), and Lyle Agnew (Teri) and their families.
Family will begin to welcome friends for visitation on Thursday, July 21, 2022 beginning at 9:00am until 10:00am. at Restland Funeral Home – The Abbey Chapel. The Funeral Service will follow at 10:00am with Sammy Hargrove Officiating. Judy will be laid to rest at Restland Memorial Park in Section Masonic. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund.
