Judy Joanne Foster's Obituary
Judy Joanne Foster, 79, of Mesquite, Texas passed away on Sunday January 7, 2024.
Judy was born in Clay Center, Kansas in 1944, to Bryan and Lucille Danielson. Soon after, the family, including her older brother Tom, moved to Dallas, Texas. The family settled in the East Dallas neighborhood of Pleasant Grove, and Judy eventually graduated from WW Samuell High School before marrying her Junior High/ High School sweetheart, Marion Wayne Foster. Judy had three children---two boys and a girl and managed the household as an Army wife in places around the world such as Okinawa, Japan, Kaiserslautern, Germany, Homestead, Florida, Spangdahlem, Germany, and El Paso, Texas. Over the years, through on the job training and college studies, Judy established and maintained a distinguished career in banking, from which she retired as Assistant Vice President. Judy loved animals and enjoyed many pets over her lifetime, both dogs and cats, with a special affection for her beloved cat, Felix. She enjoyed listening to old time radio shows, reading mystery novels, and watching the television show Star Trek: The Next Generation. She also enjoyed maintaining a beautiful flowerbed in her backyard.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Bryan and Lucille Danielson, and her brother Bryan Thomas Danielson, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Wayne Foster, sons Thomas R. Foster & wife Kathy, Dylan G. Sexton and wife Jessica, and daughter Misti D. Foster-Suppa and husband Shawn. She had seven grandchildren, Andrew and Hanna Foster, Alyssa Todd, Theresa Suppa, Jackson Suppa, Charles and Van Sexton. And seven great grandchildren whom she loved very much.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 17, 2024 from 3pm – 7pm, at Restland. She will be laid to rest at the DFW National Cemetery in a private
