Judy Grimes Ijames' Obituary
Judy Ijames passed from this life to her heavenly home on January 27, 2024, while in the hospital from heart failure. She was born on July 14, 1952, to Arnet & Gladys Grimes of Troup, Texas. Judy was 71 and had survived Covid in 2020 only to be plagued by many issues over the last four years.
She was married to Jim Ijames on June 30, 1978, in Irving, Texas, by Dr. Ellis Hackler and Dr. Henry Malone of Northside Baptist Church Irving, Texas. They have one child, a daughter Rachael Ijames Grossman of Haslet, Texas. Judy was preceded in death by her mother and father, brothers Dan and Eddie Grimes. Survived by a sister, Doris Hughes of Irving, and brother Roy Grimes of Prattville, Alabama; two stepsons, Mark and Russ Ijames, and one stepdaughter, Laura Ijames Whitmire all of Pottsboro, Texas. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, the loves of her life along with three step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Judy was a resident of Irving, Coppell and Sherman, Texas over the years. Service will be at Restland Memorial Cemetery, Graveside on Friday, February 16th at noon. Services conducted by Dr. Charles Leslie.
