Judy McTaggart Rogers' Obituary
ROGERS, JUDY MCTAGGART 63, of Richardson, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2012 after a recent illness. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 pm Thursday, January 19 at Restland Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 3:00pm, Friday, January 20, at Restland Wildwood Chapel with Rev. Phil Humphries officiating. Born September 27, 1948 in Houston, Judy most recently lived in Richardson. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School and completed a BS degree in mathematics from the University of Houston. In recent years she enjoyed being in partnership with her husband in a public tax and accounting practice. While it was a business, it was also a ministry to assist friends in family businesses. She also greatly enjoyed traveling the world by cruise ship with her husband, Doyle. Other passions included art, dance, spending time with her grandchildren, whether it was in playing games or in assisting them with homework and enjoying her many friendships especially with the members of her church, Clearwater Community Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia June Christy McTaggart. Judy is survived by the love of her life and husband of 42 years, Doyle Evans Rogers; father, James Laroy McTaggart and wife Martha Moore McTaggart; son, Scott Allen Rogers and daughter-in-law Mari Kelly Rogers; daughter, Wendy Gail Madden and son-in-law Christopher David Madden; grandchildren, Ryan Allen Rogers, McKenzie Lane Rogers, Ella Brooke Rogers, Ashley Dawn Madden, Kaitlyn Renee Madden and Evan Lee Madden; brothers, James Laroy McTaggart, Jr., Leslie Taylor McTaggart; numerous nieces , nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Clearwater Community Church Mission Fund, 850 East Arapaho Rd., Suite 270, Richardson, TX 75081.
