Jui-Lin Chen's Obituary
Jui-Lin Chen, Ph.D., P.E., was born October 9th, 1935, in Fu Ning, Jiang Su, China, and passed away September 22, 2016, in Dallas, Texas. Jui-Lin was the oldest of three children. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ping-Ran and Ji, and his uncle and aunt, Da Ba and Shu Fang (Tong), who helped to raise him. He is survived by his wife, Anda (Hsing), his daughter and son-in-law, Yung-Shu Kelly and Stephen Kinwai Lee, his son and daughter-in-law, Ping-Sun Keven and Juanita Chen, his grandchildren and step grandchildren, Daniel Si Hang Lee, Wesley Lee, Madisyn Chi-Mei Chen, and Sarah Leseman, and Jenna Leseman, and his sister Jui Fen and brother, Tsao Lin. Jui-Lin graduated from the Republic of China (Whampoa) Military Academy in 1961 (30th graduation class) and retired with a rank of Colonel. He obtained his Masters of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering from Purdue University and Doctorate of Civil Engineering from The University of Wyoming. He retired as a professional engineer from APM & Associates in 2008. Although he was proud of his professional accomplishments, his greatest joy was time spent with family. He was a loving husband to his wife of 48 years, a caring father and a doting grandfather. He loved taking daily walks with his beloved wife and he enjoyed gardening. He was kind and generous to all around him. Memorial service will be held on October 1st, 2016, at 10 am at the Wildwood Chapel of Restland Funeral Home of Dallas, Texas. Burial service and reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dallas Chinese Community Center (DCCC), 400 N.
