Jules Paul Vergez's Obituary
Jules Paul Vergez, 90, passed away late Saturday night, June 2, 2018, in Richardson, Texas. He was born on September 9, 1927, to Jules Paul Vergez, Sr. and Mildred Gosselin, in Slidell, Louisiana. Paul spent most of his working years as an Electrical Engineer for Texas Instruments, during which he authored several papers and earned patents. He earned a pilot’s license and ham radio license. He loved snow and water skiing, sailing, jogging, working on cars or anything around the house, but he especially loved ballroom dancing and playing the piano.He is preceded in death by his daughters, Paula and Denise Vergez and his sister, Doris Selk and the two beloved women who raised him, Aunt Odile and Grandmother Berthe. Paul is survived by his loving wife, Janice Vergez; daughter, Tracy and husband Gil Yetter and grandchildren, Allison and Reese.The family would like to especially thank the caring staff at Arden Courts. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to: UT Southwestern O’Donnell Brain Institute (www.utsouthwestern.edu/odonnell), Center for Brain Health (www.brainhealth.utdallas.edu), AWARE (www.awaredallas.org) or the charity of your choice.Mass followed by a reception will be at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 720 South Floyd, Richardson, Texas 75080 at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 8, 2018. There will also be a time of visitation at Restland Funeral Home between 10:00 and 11:00 am, Friday, and a family graveside service at 12:30 pm at Restland Memorial Park.Funeral arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, Texas 75243.
