Julia Janice Johnson Madison's Obituary
Julia Janice Johnson Madison was born May, 30, 1953 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where she spent the first year of her life. The family moved to Corpus Christi, then to Dallas, where she became a naturalized American citizen. Janice attended The Children’s Center of First Community Church, Dan D. Rogers Elementary School, Benjamin Franklin Junior High, and Hillcrest High School. She attended Texas Tech in Lubbock and later taught computer classes at The Children’s Center and Merriman Park Elementary. She was preceeded in death by her father, R. Van Johnson. Surviving are her two sons, Michael Van Madison and Matthew Scott Madison; her mother, Ouida Owen Johnson; her two adopted sons, Anthony Newton Courson and Alexander Doyle Courson; adopted daughter, Stephanie Christine Gaona, and a host of loyal family and friends. Service will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 25, at 3:30 pm in Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to ASPCA or the charity of your choice.
