Julian Palos' Obituary
Palos,Julian born February 24, 1943 in Monterey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, responded to his Lord’s call home on Friday, January 4, 2013 after a valiant battle with Mesothelioma (lung cancer). His father, Marcelino J. Palos and mother, Amalia Charles Palos preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Phyllis Trevino-Palos and ex-wife of 22 years, Mickey Palos, two daughters, Yolanda Davis of Rowlett, and Maria Lowery with husband Cody of Rockwall; four sons, Robert Palos with wife Jennifer of Round Rock, Richard Palos of Garland, Joey Trevino with wife Misti of Arlington, and Joseph Trevino with wife Stephanie of Garland; two brothers, Rev. Jose Palos with wife Guadalupe of San Antonio, and David Palos with wife Isabel of Brownsville; sister Amalia (Molly) Bullis with husband Randy of San Antonio; fifteen grand-children, Angela, Jessica, Kenneth, Rylie, Avery, Joseph, Tia, Tyson, Jade, Dallas, Jules, Charles, Rebcca, Emily, and Caroline; great grand- children, Arthur (AJ) and Dillon, as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Julian became a U.S. citizen and served his country in the U.S. Air Force from June 1963 until January 1966 and joined the reserves in January 1968. He went on to provide over 37 years of service with Verizon- GTE as a telephone installer and retired in August 2010. Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 6, 2013 from 4-8 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held Monday, January 7, 2013 at Restland Memorial Chapel, officiated by Brother Dickson Rial, with cremation to follow, in honor of Julian’s wishes. Julian was a member of Orchard Hills Baptist Church in Garland TX. Both he and his entire family are very grateful for all the hundreds of prayers from friends and loved ones. His testimony and final words left with us were, “God is good, ALL the time …. God is Love!” You will be missed greatly by us all and we are honored to have known you as our husband, father, grandpa, brother, friend, “boss”, and servant of The Most High God. Rest in peace until the coming of our Lord when we shall all be gathered together once again, we love you.
