Brantley, Julie Ann's Obituary
Julie Melton Brantley, known to her family as “Dee,” a name bestowed on her by her first grandchild, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, in Sachse, Texas.
Born in Dallas, Texas, on June 17, 1937, Julie graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1955 and was a longtime resident of Garland, Texas.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who devoted her life to caring for her family. She loved to read and was a talented seamstress who enjoyed sewing clothes for her daughters.
Julie was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Charles W. Brantley, and her parents, Carl W. Melton and Loma R. Melton.
She is survived by her daughters, Wendy Brantley Gaskin and Andrea Robin Boruk, son-in-law James Gaskin, grandchildren Sandi Boruk Phillips, Chad Boruk, Alex Gaskin, Shannon Boruk Myers, Clint Boruk, Laura Gaskin Thompson, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Julie was the heart and soul of our family and will be dearly missed.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 10:30 AM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
