SHE GOT ME WITH HER SMILE – Don Warren – Loving husband June?s smile was the first thing people always noticed about her. Later, as they got to know her, they realized that her smile was also coming from her heart and not just from her face. Everyone who knew June liked June. There were no enemies; you were either a current friend with June or a future friend to June. She especially loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was always very near and very real to her. June had a killer smile and, in addition, she was a great listener to everyone – young and old alike. She could win the heart of anyone ? from the teenager riding on June?s School Bus in Houston all the way to the old man who carved her a walking stick during a childhood camping vacation in Colorado Springs. Over the past few years, the smile showed up less and less often. Her body was in so much pain that she couldn?t ignore it. On top of that her heart had been broken by the deaths of her 2 sons, Jeffery and Steve. After Steve passed away in 2008, her inner spark was nearly completely extinguished. Trying to smile with such a huge hole in her heart was almost impossible. Fighting against depression and pain took most of her energy, but she didn?t complain about it. We interrupt this Eulogy to bring you the following important story: BREAKING NEWS! A Fox News Channel Exclusive… this just in from Heaven June?s smile is back! When her soul snuck away from her body on Monday morning and she showed up at Heaven?s front gate, she was grinning from ear-to-ear when she saw Steve, Jeffery, her sister Janis, her parents Earl & Bonnie and her mother-in-law Ann Warren. AND, Here?s another miracle: Her pain is vanished ? no more tears or sorrows. The next time we see June, we?ll also have our smiles. She really hopes everyone will join her there.
