Junia Carol Criss' Obituary
Junia Carol Criss born on August 13th, 1943 was no ordinary woman. Most know her by the name of Judi, Honey, Mom or the Slipper Ninja. She came into this world with a purpose and lived her life to the fullest. She was an avid bowler, head of the Women’s Guild for her church, incredible cook and one who always knew the answers to the crossword puzzles. Her laugh was infectious and her smile lit up the room. At only 4′ 11″ she might greet you with her infamous “double back flip” or give you a hug and ask you sit and talk awhile. She bore 5 children, but raised a neighborhood. Her home, her heart and her arms were always open. If you needed a laugh, she would tell you a joke. If you needed someone to listen, she would always be willing to give you her ear. But, if you needed discipline she was ready with a wooden spoon … or whatever was closest to her. If you are reading this, she would tell you not to cry but to be happy because she is home with Grandma Freeman, Uncle Pete and Mitchell having a grand ol’ time. She will be missed by her husband, 7 brothers and sisters, 7 children, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donation be made to St. Joseph’s Indian School.
