Kaleb Charles Hawkins' Obituary
Kind- Athletic- Loving- Extraordinary-Brilliant Kaleb Charles Hawkins received his angel wings on August 24th, 2017. Kaleb’s life would seem short to many but was full of adventures and excitement. All who came in contact with Kaleb loved him and will cherish him in their hearts forever. Kaleb was in the Gifted and Talented program at Harmony School of Business in Plano, TX, as well as an honor roll student. Approaching his fifth year of elementary school, Kaleb participated in Coding Club, Turkish Club, Creative Arts, Odyssey of the Mind, Accelerated Readers, and a host of other school related activities. Outside of school, Kaleb participated in numerous sports and hobbies. Kaleb was a goalkeeper for the Titans East ’06 Futbol Club and participated in Plano Premier Select League. Additionally, he earned the rank of Webelos II, Arrow of Light as a member of the Cub Scouts in Pack 8080. He was an avid camper and earned over 21 badges as a Superachiever. As an active and athletic child, Kaleb was about to begin a new sport: competitive tumbling. When Kaleb wasn’t practicing for those activities, he could be found enjoying one of his many hobbies like traveling to new locations (domestically and internationally). He enjoyed singing, dancing, swimming, drawing, movies, and spending as much time as possible with his family. Kaleb loved the color red, animals, and teaching other kids through his YouTube channel. As a born adventurer, he loved trips to Six Flags and especially enjoyed thrill rides and rollercoasters, with his favorite being The Titan. With Kaleb’s passing, we remind others that life should be celebrated and lived as vigorously as Kaleb lived his. Although we miss him daily, he will forever remain in our hearts. We created wonderful memories and were blessed and privileged to be his parents. Kaleb is survived by his loving parents, Charles Hawkins III and Kamile Adams of Dallas, TX; maternal grandparents Kathrene Ward of Mesquite, TX and Paul Adams of Oklahoma City, OK; paternal grandparents Charles and Melody Hawkins of Dallas, TX; Aunt Tia Batiste of Mesquite, TX; Aunt Katasha Hawkins of Dallas, TX; and a long, loving list of cousins. Service to celebrate Kaleb’s life will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Hamilton Park Methodist Church at 11:00 AM. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
