Karan Shea Edwards' Obituary
EDWARDS, KARAN SHEA passed from this life on May 08, 2014. She arrived in this world on May 25, 1969. Shea delighted her family and friends with the sparkle in her eye, bubbly laughter and out-going personality as she grew up in Lake Highlands schools and graduated from the Episcopal School of Dallas in 1987. Full of promise Shea continued her education at Texan Christian University in Ft. Worth, TX where she was an active member if Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Shea graduated from TCU with a degree in psychology and a Masters in Educational Psychology from Texas A & M. As a counselor and psychometrist she blessed children’s lives as she worked in El Paso Independent School District and various non-profits. Her love for children and those less fortunate than her was apparent in her life and life activities. She also loved animals immensely which showed in her rescue and care of strays. Her rescued dog, Alley Cat, was by her side until the end. She was preceded in death by her mother, Karan Kay Buckman, husband, Jim Constantikes, and aunt, Kay Pinkham. She is survived by her parents, Stan and Jane Edwards, brothers, Ty Edwards, Todd and Whitney Edwards, Ryan and Ashley Edwards; nephew, Kingston, Knox and Preston Edwards, step-father, Bill Buckman; uncles and aunts David and Elizabeth Edwards and Jim and Erma Wiginton, as well as cousins, Richard and Melanie Wiginton, Brad and Kathryn Reynolds and Vera and Parish Pollard. Graveside Service will be held at 12:30 PM, Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Restland Memorial Park, Section Q. Followed by the Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at Oaklawn United Methodist Church, 3014 Oak Lawn Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75219.
