Karen Kirby Adair, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and dedicated chiropractor, passed away at her home in Fayetteville, Arkansas, 4:45 AM on Monday morning, May 5, 2025. A memorial graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 3 P.M. at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas – Garden of Memories - with Rev. Chris Campbell officiating.
Born on April 11, 1948 in Arlington, Virginia, Karen was the daughter to Oliver Rae and Jeanne Kirby. She spent much of her childhood in Beltsville, Maryland. After starting a family and moving to Texas, Karen graduated Magna Cum Laude from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, where she discovered her passion for chiropractic care. She dedicated her career to helping others achieve better health and wellness. She was known for her compassionate approach and commitment to her patients. Her clinic was a place where many found physical relief but also a sense of community and care.
Outside of her professional life, Karen enjoyed traveling, diving, gardening, playing the piano, and painting. Her most cherished roles were those of mother and grandmother. She loved deeply, gave generously, and made countless sacrifices for her family. We ask that you remember her for the way her life was lived, and for the profound impact she had on those who had the pleasure of knowing her and the lives she helped while at her clinic.
Karen is survived by her husband, Michael Adair; sons, James Dennis Kirby of Dallas, Texas, and John Brian Kirby of Eureka Springs, Arkansas; her daughter Jeannie Waddill and husband Cooper of Austin, Texas; brother Jim and wife Dee Ann, of Greenville, Texas; four grandchildren – Wyatt Kirby of Dallas, and Taylor, Hailey, and Jaxson of Austin.
