Karen Andrew's Obituary
Karen Elizabeth Andrew, 73, of Garland, TX, passed away on June 14, 2023. She was born on May 21, 1950, in Victoria, TX to William Guy Andrew and Betty Louise Alsup Andrew. Karen was a beloved sister, aunt and friend to many.
Karen was an elementary school teacher for 34 years before retiring. She had a passion for teaching young children how to read. Karen then went to work for Dr. William T. Lin, pediatrician for an additional 12 years before retiring. Karen was passionate about teaching and working with children and touched the lives of many throughout her career.
Karen enjoyed spending time outdoors, traveling and reading. She loved her church and served in various roles as a teacher, mission volunteer, working with the women's ministry and was an avid prayer warrior. She had a deep love for her beloved dog Finn. She was a kind and caring person who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Karen is survived by her sister, Debbie Pullen (and husband Tommy Pullen) and brother Mark Andrew (and wife Lesa Andrew). She also leaves behind any nieces and nephews: Matt Pullen and wife Tiffany of Georgetown, TX, Beth Nacol and husband Justin of Round Rock, TX, Brittnee Duncan and husband Eric of Baytown, TX, and Tyler and wife Sally also of Baytown, TX. Great nieces and nephews: Hannah Pullen, Ryan Pullen, Mason Pullen, Grayson Nacol, Landree Nacol, Natalie Andrew and Luke Duncan. Great-Great niece: Sadie Pullen.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at 10 AM at Lakepointe Firewheel in Garland, TX
