Karen Louise Spitzer, a devoted mother, loving daughter, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, at the age of 81.
Born on March 11, 1945, in Milford, Connecticut, Karen was the beloved daughter of Henry Karl Kruggel and Hildegard Helene Schmidt Kruggel. She was raised with strong family values that she carried throughout her life.
Karen dedicated herself to her family as a homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love, care, and support. Her greatest joy came from caring for those she loved, and she found fulfillment in the simple moments spent with family and friends.
Karen will be remembered for her kindness, gentle spirit, unwavering devotion to her family, and the love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her two beloved daughters, Kristy Hamlin and Jeannie Sanchez, who will forever cherish the memories, guidance, and unconditional love she provided throughout their lives.
Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Eudell Spitzer; her parents, Henry Karl Kruggel and Hildegard Helene Schmidt Kruggel; her brother, Robert Kruggel; and her sister, Hildegard Hatter.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her love, strength, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
