Karol Ann Frailey's Obituary
Karol Ann (Kapron) Frailey of Dallas, Texas was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 21, 1946, and passed away on March 16, 2021 due to natural causes. Karol earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Marygrove College in Detroit, Michigan and shortly thereafter married Dennis J. Frailey of Pleasant Ridge, Michigan. After marriage, she worked as a music teacher until moving to Dallas in 1971, where she worked for many years at Southern Methodist University. Karol was active in support of local arts activities, especially the Cliburn competitions in Fort Worth. She loved music, shopping and Shetland sheepdogs.
Karol was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Mitchell T Kapron, Jr., her father, Mitchell T Kapron, Sr., and her mother, Eleanor (Takes) Kapron. She is survived by cousin Mary Ellen Emmons of Southfield, Michigan, cousin Marilyn Barr Landon of Leesburg, Georgia, and ex-husband Dennis J. Frailey of Fairview, Texas.
Karol was buried at Restland Cemetery on March 29, 2021. Memorials may be made to any charitable society devoted to the care of animals.
