Karyn you will always be missed, I know your at peace now and with Charles once again! Love you
Karyn was a pioneer public education reformer when we needed her the most and when it was highly unpopular to question the establishment public educational bureaucracy and insist on accountability for citizens and taxpayers. The road she walked in public service was thorny, but she chose one the most terrible of all enemies to battle: citizen and voter APATHY—–and she, along with other good citizens of the time, accomplished some great things in the early 1990s. Just one thing I remember Karyn accomplishing: total reform in the manner election night votes were counted. Before Karyn, votes were counted by the sitting incumbents! Can you believe that? We’ll never forget you, Karyn, and your Fights for the Right! You laid the foundations for much more government of the people, by the people, for the people.
What a true model of a great mom!!! I noticed this the first time I met Karyn!! Her life revolves around Kara and Charla and was so proud of everything they did. She was one of my biggest supporters of the Signing Choir!!! God blessed us all with her friendship!! May her soul Rest In Peace!!! Prayers for Kara and Charla and all of the family. Although we know she no longer is suffering, no longer in pain, it is hard to understand in God’s terms and accept the loss. Love and hugs!!!
R.I.P sweet Karyn I know your dancing in heaven with that sweet husband you so often talked about God bless. My condolences to all the family
