Katherene Irene Bigger's Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Katherene Bigger, known to friends and family as Kathy, announces her passing after a brief illness, on Monday, May 14, 2018, at the age of 78 years. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother & friend who was committed to helping and supporting her large family and instilled in her children, faith in the Lord.A Texas native of Wellington, Kathy attended Wesleyan University and in 1958, then moved to Dallas and began her career. Proceeded in death by her husband, Marion Bigger, Kathy will be lovingly remembered by her children; Mark Holley, Sharla DeFrancisco, Ken Bigger, Terry Lewis, and Leslie Cole. She was dedicated to and will be fondly remembered by her 11 grandchildren; Madison, Preston & Sarah Holley, Jessica, Lauren & Joseph DeFrancisco, Ashley Lauffer, Erin Blanc, Scott Lewis, Nick & Andrew Bigger, and by her eight brothers and sisters; Raymond, Richard, and Allenray Sanders, Mary Lou Turnipseed, Betty Jo West, JoNell Nelson, Janey Reynolds, and Tammy Ann Young.The family requests that visiting hours for Ms. Bigger be observed from 10:00AM to 11:00 AM on Sunday, May 20, 2018 in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, and a celebration of Kathy’s life to follow at 11:00 AM.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243.
