CHAN, KATHERINE W. Born June 30, 1954 in Manila, Philippines left to be with the Lord on October 26, 2017 in Dallas, TX when she suffered a sudden stroke and a pontine haemorrhage.Katherine loved Jesus Christ and served the Kingdom faithfully. Katherine had wisdom and understanding in many things and was skilled in cooking, home repair, note taking, organization, language learning, cat herding, and more. She was a doctor specializing in pathology for 20+ years before she retired. Katherine was a medical graduate of Far East University in the Philippines.She is preceded by her husband, David Chan; father, Johnson Wong; and brother, Richard Wong. She is survived by her son, Timothy J. Chan; mother, Jean Mack; brothers, Edward Wong and wife Zena , Howard Wong and wife Margarete; sister, Evelyn Wong; sister-in-law, Brenda Wong; nieces, Charlene Naughton, Erin Burford, Joy Wong, Jennifer Nguyen, Tiffany Wong, and Noelle Wong; and nephew, Paul Wong. Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, November 18, 2017 at North Cities United Pentecostal Church in Garland, Texas.Arrangements are under the care of Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
