Katherine Ruth Hatcher, 96, of Dallas, Texas died February 12, 2018 in Mesquite, Texas. She was born April 26, 1921, to William Baldwin Mims and Mary Wilson Mims in Dallas, Texas.She married John R Hatcher on February 21, 1941 in Corsicana, Texas. She was a housewife. Katherine was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Sherman, Texas. She is survived by daughter, Kay Holley of Plano, TX; sons, John R Hatcher of Sherman, TX and Emory E Hatcher of Blue Ridge, TX; former son-in-law, Curtis R Hawley; brother, Edward H Mims of The Villages, FL; five grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, John R Hatcher; infant son, Andrew Frank Hatcher; son-in-law, Chuck Holley; three sisters and four brothers.The visitation will be from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at The Abbey Chapel.
