Mom decided to pursue an education after having 4 children earning a masters degree in education at UNT. She started college when I was about 6 years old or so. She was an inspiration to me to continue on to college as most women were housewives in those days. After I graduated from high school, I decided to go on to college as well. I figured if she could accomplish an education raising a family, I could gain an education as well. When I graduated from college we were in a recession and landing a bank position with my finance degree was a little difficult. After prayer and requesting direction to find the appropriate job, the Lord sent me to the Dallas Teachers Credit Union where she had previously conducted business. I knew nothing about credit unions at that time. I was hired immediately. I retired this June after 35 years of service there as Vice President. Strange how God works sometimes. He has a plan for us all. Love you mom!
