Kathleen Juel Bale's Obituary
Kathleen Juel Agee Bale, 85, was born on March 24, 1930 to Fannie Coker Agee and Alan R. Agee of Illinois Bend. As a young girl she was active in the Illinois Bend 4-H club and at the age of 13 she was named Gold Star Winner of Montague County. She was a graduate of St. Jo High school, Class of 1947. Juel married local “Aggie” Ray Mc Laughlin and relocated to the DFW area embarking on the beginning of her 30 plus year career in Electronics. At Texas Instruments in Richardson she worked as a Process Control Inspector of integrated circuits. While attending Richland College, Juel became a Military Defense Contractor, monitoring production operations performing quality control inspections and recommendations for product improvements on electronic products at General Electric, Collins Radio, Lockheed-Martin and as a member of the Space Shuttle Team for the shuttle program at NASA. In 1997 she retired from her chosen career to travel, but always considered herself to be a “little girl from the country” and loved coming back to her home of Illinois Bend. Juel is survived by her daughter Debra, son-in-law Dave, and a whole bunch of wonderful friends. A memorial service with Reverend Calvin Durham will be held to celebrate Juel’s remarkable life at the Illinois Bend School House. All for the memorial service should be sent to Kathleen’s daughter, Debra Bale.
