Kathleen Lenora Townsend's Obituary
TOWNSEND, KATHLEEN LENORA WOODALL passed away on December 2, 2008 in Wilton Connecticut. Born in Keller, Texas on December 18, 1921 to William Miles Woodall and Sudie Pace Woodall, she was a cherished mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Sherrel Cox of New York City, her son-in-law Norman Cox of Houston, TX, her grandchildren Kelle and Jeffrey Ruden of Westport, CT, Leonard and Denise Cox of Cypress, TX and her great-grandson, Travis Cox as well as her six Woodall nephews and their families. Kathleen is predeceased by her husband Leonard Townsend and her daughter Tina Townsend Napper, her brothers Yancy, Miles and Jewel and her sister Faye Winters. Kathleen had a great love of life, her church and chocolate. With her ready smile and her sunny optimism she was forever a joy to those around her and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Friday, December 5 from 6-8p.m. at Restland Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at Lake Highlands United Methodist Church 9015 Plano Road on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 3p.m., Reverend Rich Rindfuss officiating. Kathleen will join her husband Leonard and daughter Tina in interment at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vent-A-Hood Scholarship Fund in care of the Communities Foundation of Texas, 5500 Caruth Haven Lane, Dallas, Texas, 75225.
