Kathrin K. "Kelli" Widener's Obituary
WIDENER, KATHRIN KELLI KLECKNER 58, died Oct. 11, 2012 in Dallas after a brief illness. She was born Sept. 18, 1954 in Fort Benning, Ga. to Graham B. and Patricia A. (Renning) Kleckner. On Oct. 24, 1992, she married Mark S. Widener in Dallas. Kelli was a graduate of Washington High School in Two Rivers, Wisconsin and received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Amberton University. Kelli worked as an accountant for various companies during her lifetime, a field of work she enjoyed. Kelli enjoyed music and traveling, especially going on cruises and trips to Las Vegas with her husband, Mark. She was an exceptionally talented cook and loved making food for family gatherings and holidays. She is survived by her father, Graham Kleckner of Crystal Lake, Ill.; her brothers and sisters, Michael (Doralyn David) Kleckner of Bullhead City, Ariz., Terena (Sam Tobias) Kleckner of Fond du Lac, Wis., Christopher Kleckner of Seattle, Wash., Mary (Bob) O’Dell of Richardson, Texas, Martha Hauerwas of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Joseph (Nancy) Kleckner of Flower Mound, Texas, and Sarah (Matt) Carzoli of Crystal Lake. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Tim) Becker, Ben and Emma Tobias, Hannah and Lauren Kleckner, and Mia, Charlie, and Juliana Carzoli, and two aunts, Jon Renning and Kay Kleckner. She was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Mark, on Nov. 7, 2005; her mother, Patricia Kleckner; and a sister, Jennifer Kay Kleckner. Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Friday, October 19, 2012 at Restland Wildwood Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior to the service in the chapel.
