LADYE KATHRYN HOFFMANN CHRISTIAN
Kathryn (Kaddy) Hoffmann Christian passed away at her home in Dallas, Texas, Sunday, July 18, 2021.
Born October 19, 1942, Kaddy grew up in Mt. Pleasant, Texas where she graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. She was a varsity cheerleader and loved her class of ‘61. She then attended Texas Christian University where, as a student and a Theta, met the love of her life and her hero, Max Christian. They were married for 41 years and enjoyed every minute, especially sharing their love of sports and SMU football.
Besides watching all sports, Kaddy loved bridge with her friends and reading. She was a long time member of Lovers Lane United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her beloved Max, her father August Christian Hoffmann, Jr., and her stepmother Betty.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Casey Christian Barbieri and Ross, Tinny Christian Jogerst and Jim, and son Gary Christian; by her grandchildren who lovingly called her “Toppy,” Griffin and Claudia Barbieri, Emma, Jack and Max Jogerst, and Barlow Christian; her sisters and brother Christina Hoffmann Denman, Alva Elizabeth Hoffmann, Nancy Gene Carpenter, August Johnny Hoffmann; cousins Terry Chamness and Patricia Beall.
