Kathryn Jeanne Kirby's Obituary
KIRBY, KATHRYN JEANNE KERR 92, of Greenville passed away February 26, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 2, 2013 at United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Chris Campbell officiating. Born September 16, 1920, in Vincennes, IN, Jeanne was the daughter of Edgar Steele and Vera Belle (Martin) Kerr. She married Oliver (Ollie) Rae Kirby on January 31, 1943. She was a homemaker and artist, a proud mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, a member of United Presbyterian Church in Greenville and with her husband, one of the earliest volunteers with Hunt County Shared Ministries (FISH) and women in Need. Her survivors include her brother, John Martin Kerr and wife, Virginia of Lynchburg, VA; sons, David Kerr Kirby of Greenville and James Oliver Kirby; daughter, Karen Jeanne Adair and husband, Mike of Austin; 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a daughter, Nancy Lynn and two grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Hunt County Shared Ministries.
