Kathryn (Kaye) Lane was born on November 20, 1923 and passed away on September 11, 2017She was born in Fort Clark, Texas to Jack and Velma Casper at 5th Calvary Army Post, Bracketville, TX. Moved to Kelly Field Air Force Base in 1928 – San Antonio, TXAttended Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio, TX. Graduated in 1941. Attended Baylor University in Waco, TX. Married Dan R. Lane in 1943 during World War II. After being stationed at various military bases, Dan was sent to Europe with the Counter Intelligence Corp (CIC) for a period of more than two years. Upon his return to the U.S., he and his brother Clifford Lane formed Lane Container Company in 1946. Kaye was active in Lovers Lane United Methodist Church as a Sunday School teacher. Attended Believers Chapel for many years and is presently a member of Park Cities Presbyterian Church.Kathryn is preceded in death by husband, Dan R. Lane. She is survived by son, Dan R. Lane, Jr. and daughter, Janice Lane Henry and husband, Dr. Bob Henry of Midland, TX. Also survived by brother, Bob Casper of Houston, TX. Grandchildren – Kristen Kathryn Goen and husband, Jeff Goen of Georgetown, TX; Carrie Lane Rich and husband, Geoff Rich of Leander, TX; Dr. Blake Robert Henry and wife, Dr. Kathy Hunter Henry of Tulsa, OK; great grandchildren, Cooper Robert and Cate Lane Goen, Georgetown, TX, Hayden Robert, Grace Lane and Wyatt Henry Rich, Leander, TX, Hunter, Carter, Ryan, Brady and Taylor Henry, Tulsa, OK.Formerly active in Dallas Museum of Art League and Northwood Country Club. Kaye was also a member of Garden of the Gods Club, Colorado Springs, CO; Decordova Bend Country Club, Granbury, TX; and Rancho Bernardo Country Club, Rancho Bernardo, CA. Kaye began a long rewarding association with daughter, Janice Lane Henry in Interior Design business in 1971 and partnered together for over 40 years.Kaye Lane “Mimi” had a servant’s heart and she was a faithful friend. She was dependable and kind to all. She continued to work as an interior designer until the day she died. She made many homes beautiful. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren well. Her faith and love for Jesus is a legacy that she leaves for all who knew her.The visitation will be held at Restland Funeral Home on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 10-11 AM. The funeral service will be held at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Memorial Park on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 12:30 PM.
