Kathy Demetria Anderson's Obituary
Kathy Demetria Anderson was born on June 5, 1959 in Rosedale, Mississippi and passed away on March 1, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. Born to Samuel Bruins SR and Lottie Mae Malone. She was the 8th of 10 children. Kathy attended Rosedale High School as well as Delta State University where she had earned a BBA degree; BSN degree; and a Masters in nurse and science. After graduation, she began a career as a Director of Nursing. Kathy married her husband Lorenzo Anderson on June 8, 1980 in Greenwood, Mississippi. She was a member of New Life Church in Cleveland, Mississippi. She was a born again believer as well, which showed her love she had for Christ. Kathy had a few special friends she loved dearly, Demetria Tucker- Lewis, Charlene Brandon, Gloria Cock and Odessia Scott. She served in the Army and became a Captain. Kathy is survived by husband, Lorenzo Anderson of Richardson, TX; daughters: Miriam Anderson of Richardson, TX, and Alaina Anderson of Cleveland, MS; sons: Terrance Anderson of Richardson, TX, and Christopher Anderson of Richardson, TX; father, Samuel Bruins SR of Rosedale, MS; mother, Lottie M. Malone of Memphis, TN; brothers: Eugine Johnson of Memphis, TN, and Samuel Bruins JR of Fredrick, Maryland; sisters: Willie Mae Ford of Memphis, TN, Loueniu Golden of Memphis, TN, Duann Blaine of Memphis, TN, Yvonne Bruins of Memphis, TN, Lermedeyo Malone of Memphis, TN, and Tarsha Malone of Memphis, TN. Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 3- 5 PM at Restland Funeral Home.
