Kathy Fontane Zerangue's Obituary
Kathy Fontane Zerangue, age 71, of Dallas, TX, peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 1, 2022, after nine years of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Kathy was born May 7, 1951, to Bernard and Olga Fontane in Baton Rouge, LA. She was the younger sibling of her brother Benny. She attended Louisiana Tech University, where she met her husband, Frank Roland Zerangue, Jr. They married in Shreveport, LA, on November 25, 1972. Kathy and Frank were blessed with two boys, Brian Michael (May 9, 1975) and David Benjamin (April 19, 1978), and three grandchildren, born to David and his wife Amanda Rowan, Nick Benjamin (July 6, 2006), Aidan Rose and Madeleine Rowan(July 14, 2010).
Kathy’s hope was in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, evident in her zest for life and characterized by her friends with words like loving, encouraging, grateful, kind, present, energetic, passionate, laughter, joyful, and infectious personality.
Kathy was a member of Park Cities Presbyterian Church and loved her Thursday Morning Bible Study she attended for 12+ years. She enjoyed music, singing, studying scripture, journalling, and sending people messages of encouragement through God’s Word — thats how she worshipped.
Kathy loved her husband, laughing at his goofy jokes, singing silly songs, exploring new food, traveling with him, and growing old with him. She adored her sons and grandchildren; they were her “angel” children and they filled her heart with joy.
Kathy lived to give God glory, and now Kathy sees her Savior face to face
