Kay Lafouran Lee's Obituary
Kay Lafouran Lee, 76, was born on September 13, 1941 and passed away on December 12, 2017 in Garland, TX.Kay was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. She graduated from C.E. Byrd High School and was very active in the student body. She went on to earn her Elementary Education degree from Centenary College and her Masters of Education from TWU.Kay was employed by the Dallas Independent School District. She spent her entire 30+ year career at DISD as a dedicated Special Education teacher, patiently helping children with learning disabilities to succeed.Kay is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her two sons, both residing in the Dallas area, her older brother residing in Houston, numerous other relatives throughout the US and many loving friends.Services will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Restland Wildwood Chapel. If you wish, memorials may be made to the Christian charity of your choice or the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
