Kay Miller's Obituary
MILLER, KAY, 96, was born in Los Angeles on June 22, 1917. Her parents brought her to Dallas when she was 11 months old. Kay attended Dallas Public Schools, graduating from Woodrow Wilson in 1935. She graduated from Texas State College for Women in 1939 and married Elton L. Miller on May 26, 1942. Kay was welcomed into Heaven on January 4, 2014. Her welcoming committee included her husband, her parents Rufus and Etta Anna Woodard, brothers Elvan and Warren Woodard, son-in-law Don l. Tew, and great-granddaughters Caroline and Alexandria Tew. Kay left behind daughters, Barbara Tew and Marcia Miller, both of Dallas; grandsons and their wives, Todd and Kristi Tew of Southlake and Monty and Jill Tew of Round Rock; and great-grandchildren Brittany, Victoria and Katherine Tew of Southlake and Chase, Ford and Gabriel Tew of Round Rock. Kay and Elton were the original owners/publishers/editors of the weekly newspaper The White Rocker. They also owned and operated Merry Meadow School, Toddler Park and Little People’s Place. Kay has been a member of First Baptist Dallas since 1952. Funeral Services will be held at Restland Wildwood Chapel on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at 10:00 AM.
