Keeva Denielle Jackson's Obituary
JACKSON, KEEVA DENIELLE born March 25, 1969 in Malvern, Arkansas. She passed peacefully from this life on the morning of January 17, 2014. Keeva graduated from Malvern High School in 1987. She continued her education at Apollo College in Portland, Oregon where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Office Management. Keeva survived a 2011 stage four ovarian cancer diagnosis. Her miraculous story was featured in Epitome Magazine. She was also awarded Epitome Magazine’s Testimony of the Year in recognition of her valiant fight against ovarian cancer. She was an active volunteer with the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (http://www.ovarian.org/.) Keeva, along with her dedicated, supportive co-workers from Texas Oncology, participated in numerous fundraising events raising thousands of dollars. Keeva leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy: her devoted husband, Michael; loving stepdaughter, Malikah; dedicated parents Carolyn Hill and Marvin Thrasher, Sr.; and four adoring siblings, Gladys Cross, Michelle Toni Davis, Misty Moore and Marvin Thrasher, Jr. She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family and friends. Visitation is scheduled for Thursday January 23, 2014, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, TX 75243. The Memorial Service celebrating Keeva’s life will be held Friday, January 24, 2014, 2:30 PM at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery. The family has requested that those attending wear teal for ovarian cancer awareness or orange for leukemia awareness or accents of those colors.
